Cassandra was instrumental in guiding my mother and I to do an intervention on my brother who was suffering from alcohol addiction.  She was there to guide us every step of the way with patience and kindness .  Her suggestions on detox centers, rehab programs and counseling were invaluable in helping us find the right solution to fit my brother’s needs. As a result, my brother has been sober since June 2006 and has his tuned his life around.  Every year, on the anniversary date , I e-mail Cassandra with the good news- one more year of sobriety for him.  Thank you Cassandra – for giving me my brother back and helping to save his life and our family. We couldn’t have done it without you.”

Sincerely, Jonelle from Chicago, Illinois

Cassandra has made a difference in our daughter’s life. She has been there for our family when we needed her and has made progress where others could not.  Her patience and understanding have helped us through some tough times and we are confident that her experience and expertise will serve us well.

Thanks to Cassandra, we are all in a better place than where we were a year ago.  Her session and parent groups have given us as parents, a new and valuable perspective.  We feel we all have been given another chance.

Dear Cassandra

Our Holidays will be peaceful this year for the first time in a few years. Due to your guidance  encouragement and support, we now have are son back. I hate drugs with a passion, but for what ever reason, my son had to take this journey to get where he is today. What a difference a year makes, God is good. I have also grown from my son's journey, I do not enable any more we are here for him but he makes his own way now. I'm so happy for him that he is doing the right thing for himself to get on with his life. I listen to him if he needs to talk, but I don't advise because I realize now he really needs to listen to himself and from that he will grow. He's doing well in his new apartment with room mate. He works very hard 6 days a week getting up at 5:30am for work. He continues to go to meetings every day even on Sunday. The part I'm proud of is his compassion for others that are where he was a year ago. He has sponsored one person since his recovery & has spoken at support groups. The other night he spoke in front of 200 people. So now we will see what God's plan is for him in the future.

I know when I heard success stories it was hard to relate, but there is good news!  I will always be concerned that he stays clean, but I don't dwell on it. I will keep you & the people you're helping in my prays !

Thank you again,
Love, J (a proud mother)

Dear WCA,

My experience with Wellington Counseling and Associates was truly amazing and exceeded all of my
expectations. The days we would go to the clinical were by far my favorite time of the week. Cassandra,  your staff were endlessly kind, patient, professional, friendly, and empathetic. They were always willing to  listen, offer suggestions, and impart valuable insight on recovery issues that I didn't even know existed. I did indeed learn more about my inner self in those four weeks than in my previous 41 years. So, I can't thank you enough! Having had my life returned to me -- still in pieces though it may be -- is a gift I won't give up for any one or any thing.
